Ms. Akshita Kaushik is an empathetic and resilient clinical psychologist with a Graduate Basis of Chartered Membership by British Psychological Society (GMBPsS). She pursued her Masters in Psychology with clinical specialization from University of Exeter, UK where she was taught core areas of psychology by renowned psychologists from around the world. She has more than a year of experience in the UK where she provided 1:1 person-centered session to patients with c - PTSD, ASC, EUPD, Schizoaffective Disorder, Psychosis to name a few. Working with suicidal patients required her to maintain close collaboration with the UK police due to the critical nature of her cases. She worked in liaison with a Multidisciplinary team to assess client progress in a high - risk, high - needs inpatient center where she was made the youngest Team Leader owing to the quality of her delivery and leadership skills. She is trained in emergency first aid, working with complex trauma, Autism Spectrum Condition, de-escalation and ligature by the Devon Partnership Trust, UK. She also secured the prestigious Global Excellence Scholarship based on her merit from the University of Exeter. Furthermore, Akshita has an inclination towards neuroscience and has published a paper on Brain Cancer, in Springer Nature, one of the world’s leading journals. Additionally, she has pursued her PG Diploma in Psychological Counselling from Jain University, Bangalore.
She believes that every patient has their idiosyncratic needs, consequently, therapy should be person-centered catering to these specific needs. Besides providing therapy at the hospital, she also offers virtual and tele-counselling.
